Fliway was started when a gap in the emerging IT market was identified by a young entrepreneur in the late 1970's. Computer Transport Services came to life. From one truck and a desire to provide specialized transport with uncompromising service, Computer Transport Services grew. Additional services of warehousing and transport were added over the next 48 years to provide today's customers an end-to-end supply chain experience from anywhere in the world to anywhere in New Zealand.
Like Fliway, SCS also came from an entrepreneur with a strong desire to do things better. SCS was formed in the early 2000's with a strong understanding of the customer, and a keen interest in technology. The business grew off the back of smart technology, and a desire to put the customer first and today is one of the leading New Zealand owned third party warehousing companies.
Today the businesses are proudly New Zealand Post owned. They operate as complementary businesses under a single executive leadership team with differing industry focuses. Fliway leads in transport, international freight forwarding and traditional warehousing. SCS specializes in enterprise-grade warehouse management, and eCommerce fulfilment.
